Sonic the Hedgehog's 'Mystic Chemicals' - Zero-Gen

Rock out to this heavy metal rendition of Sonic the Hedgehog music by video game cover band Zero-Gen. Due to that sweet FM chip hiding inside every Sega Genesis, some of the best music to cover in a live setting has definitely been titles such as Sonic, Vectorman, Streets of Rage, and many other classic Sega titles. Although that crunchy Genesis sound is certainly fantastic as well, as indicated by the many chiptune artists that swear by it.

Zero-Gen is a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal group inspired by the classic and timeless themes of Video Games past and present. Formed in early 2012, the group has re-arranged and re-imagined pieces from games that span generations of gaming consoles: from the classic NES to the current PS3 & XBox 360. Their penchant ability to create engaging and rawkin' arrangements is supported by OC Remix veteran, Mark Hall, whose experience as a solo artist inspired the vision for this project. Hall along with his bandmates Jeff Solis (Guitar/Vocals) and Derek Apel (Drums/Percussion) hope to prove that our favourite Title, Level and Battle themes can exist beyond the world of fantasy and virtual reality towards the lighted stage
