Old World Original Soundtrack by Cristopher Tin available now

I have some exciting news to share. Today my record label Universal is releasing my soundtrack to 'Old World', a strategy game designed by my longtime collaborator Soren Johnson. Our previous collaborations include Civilization IV and Offworld Trading Company, so it was an honor to be working with Soren once again on his latest release.

The score is a blend of Arabic and contemporary classical musical influences, and features a new song of mine called "I Lift My Eyes", a setting of Psalm 121 in Arabic, with an incredible performance by the Arabic star singer (and fellow Universal recording artist) Abeer Nehme. To prepare for the composing this score, I spent a lot of time studying the traditions and theory behind Arabic music. I even took some lessons from fellow composers and performers from the region, trying to learn and synthesize their sound world with my own. Many of these musicians are also featured artists on the album, with musical ideas sent back and forth across time zones and continents, in the spirit of true 21st-century Middle-East-Meets-West collaboration.

And for all your gamers out there, Old World, with my newly added music, is currently on sale at the Epic Games Store. Give it a try!

In other news, vinyl for 'Calling All Dawns' is now back in stock! The original pressing sold out last year, and after many months of delays due to the global supply chain breakdown, it's finally available in my store again. Go here to grab a copy: https://christophertin.com/store.html

Thanks for your continuing support of my music!

Best,

Christopher Tin
